looking for plans for 6m x 6m carport

i am looking for a plan that someone might already have for a double carport , around 6m x 6m , flat roof . also at what cost you thought it would be doing all the labour ourselves , thank you....... Peter

G'day Peter.
Did you have any luck with your carport?
I'm looking at doing this now, but don't have any span tables that go to 6m. Did you find these (do they exist?) or did you go with 3 rows of 3 posts?

No Nathan , still looking . To be honest it is a Job i will do for my son and he has not shown any real urgency to get things done so i have put it on hold , if i do in the near future i will contact you , perhaps email you if i can get your email .

I built a 10x5m garage, using pre-made timber trusses. It's pretty economical, in fact cheaper than buying the timber only, separately. The walls were concrete block, but truss makers can do wall frames too. I found it really easy to talk to these blokes - they don't need much detail info to generate approvable drawings and quotes. The roof had only one slope, so not quite flat.

If you are using steel the easiest way is to use universal beam...There used to be a booklet that gave you all the formulas dor designing a roof out of UB....
