Cannot be done Ray, I have asked the question before.... Entire sub-forums can be, but individual threads cannot...

I take it you are relying on others to get the machine out and on a truck heading your way? What would it weigh? Well more than most of our machines I bet.
I just have to make the time to do the 900km round trip. Hopefully next week.

Yea 4000-4500kg... It is not the weight, while 4 tonne might sound like a lot, it really isn't that much..
I have everything organised for the delivery and unloading at this end.. It is just moving it safely that initial 10 metres sideways and 5 feet vertically that is the headache, the next 700km is a piece of ..... Gone from Plan A, to Plan B, and now back to Plan A...
I am starting to believe if you mention something before it happens you will jinx it..Light red, the colour of choice for the discerning man.

I have not been online for a while, so I missed this post. I live near the Coolongatta airport so I could visit the area you are interested in within a 15 min drive, which I'm happy to do. I am uncertain form the replies you have had whether you have got the details you require yet.
So if this is still something you need pics of, just let me know.
regards Brian

Yeah - know what you mean. Last big machine I bought, I personally went there, crated it to my satisfaction and had it loaded on the truck for direct delivery to the freight depot in Melbourne.
The bastards still managed to bend a shaft end that was *inside* the crate framing somewhere in transit. Go figure...
My general rule is, I don't really have the machine until it's sitting on my slab, intact and preferably under power. There are at least 2 machines that haven't gotten to the last bit yet......

Richard,
Nice to hear that it is finally going as planed, at least it is a start. Good luck with the rest of the trip as I am sure you will look after it when it arrives.

All home, still sitting on my tip truck as I had to get it unloaded off the main truck where there was a crane, but I can get it moved off there at my leisure..... I think it looks better then how I expected a machine of this age to look.... It is in better order then my 10EE was when I got it... It has still done work though as you would expect from a WW2 era machine...
