Machine levelling feel
I am on the hunt for some M12 machine levelling feet for my 360kg mill. I am not overly excited at paying H&F $38.50 each plus shipping. I have not had much luck hunting alternatives in M12. Any leads?

At $38.50 you'd be better off paying a little bit extra and getting some levelling castors, like these:
AUTO CFT
Some of them come with an M12 stud. At least you can then move the machine around.
I think this company is now bringing them into Australia: Trolleys | Hand Trucks | Wheels & Castors | Stairclimbers | Brisbane

Thanks for the lead on the leveling pads Ray. Unfortunately the shipping is over $100 so that rules them out.
Christian, thanks also for the tip on the leveling castors. These look very useful. I will drop the distributor a line and see what they will set me back.

I have some levelling castors on the Aciera mill. But it would have more like 700 kg sitting on them at the moment. They are M16 but are larger versions.
If its just feet you're after why not just turn some up? I don't think there's anything especially hi-tec about the feet.

Eskimo, i think you'll find that the website "carrymasterau" is actually owned by the company I mentioned. The 1300 number is the same.

Have a look around for some local versions of these pads or have the Aussie distributor give you a price. We use various ones for levelling pads on fixtures for forgings etc., that we machine. I'm not sure of the prices. They make rubber pad covers for them too if you want some soft on the floor or get the Delrin ones. Go back one level to see them.

Levelling feet
Hi
I made my own after looking at how the TAFE college mounted all their 3phase equipment to the floor. Basically just a piece of thick angle iron, steel gussets welded to each end to give strength. Two holes drilled through, one hole for the big dyna bolt drilled into the floor, the other hole I welded a nut to, to accept a bolt & lock nut. My garage floor has waves in it. Levelling the lathe took hours using the test bar in the chuck with a DTI etc. When all was perfect I screwed down the second nut onto the welded one, tight. Lathe has not moved, every month I do a re-check for accuracy. Secured that way since 2003, not a problems thus far.
