Thread: machine removalist service in Vic any one know a good one ?

I know of one thats just arrived in sydney and will be heading back to melbourne!

Thanks. I since find two crane truck company that do the service. will give them a call tomorrow to see how much they charge.

These guys moved our machines.
They move a lot of machine tools and know all the pitfalls that go with it.
Highly recommended (no affilliation etc.)

It'd be nice to find one that is close to one end of your move. (think I'm right in saying)Both the guys I've used have a 3 hour minimum and charge "depot to depot". At around $100 an hour you don't want them going to far out of their way if you can help it.

If I remember rightly DJ's timber(Acco) is in Warburton?

The other is Shane at Total Crane Trucks, I think his depot is in Cranbourne.

This mob are in Bayswater, never even talked to them, I just walk past their warehouse weekly.

They have the flashest looking trucks and gear, on a par with Membreys, for good looking equipment. They wont be cheap, but they know what they are doing so might be quicker.*

I've done several jobs with them, they are normally sweat.

* Only problem I ever had with them was one driver, just driving a taut liner. I've mentioned cut to length timber bearers, under fork loads here in the past few months. Typically I strap them to the load, so its no harder to handle than a chep pallet. They had a job, fairly general freight, hydraulic units, coolant tanks, electrical cabinets. Hoppers Crossing to Morrabbin. Its 90 minutes in a truck, even at peak hour.

I'd all ready fork handled these unit's 2 - 3 times, fluid extraction and cleaning, so they are all sitting on cut to length timbers.

Trucks have cut to length timbers, 8 foot two inches long. As they are fork landing the units up on to the deck, my cut to lenght timbers are getting turfed off the side of the truck.

I had to pull him aside and give him my brother lecture. "In 90 minutes time, you will be putting these back on the concrete, what are you going to put under them?, then we hand loaded the timbers, that used to be strapped under the load.

He may have just been a contractor, or driver for general freight. This was an auction clear out, so they had a bit on.

To be fair, I've never seen one of their crane truck or forklift guys do any thing less than a professional job.
