Machining job needed - any takers?
I hope that this is the right place to post.
I need a small job done, and loath to take it to a machine shop for a small one off job to fix a $20 tool.
I'll use mm, but original would have been in ".
It is mostly 'basic' lathe work, but the harder part is to cut a fine slit through the rod.
Description:
It is a metal (mild steel) rod, 210mm long.
From one end it is 25mm dia for about 50mm, then it is turned down to 18mm dia for the rest of the length.
The 50mm dia end has a 15mm slot in it.
It is then slit (@1.5mm slit) down the length for 105mm. The slit is widened to 3mm for another 25mm.
Finally, there is a notch in the 18mm dia end.
So, basically a rod with a fine slit in it. I would supply the original to be replicated. (I have 1 but need two of these thingamejiggies)
Pic tells a better story.
Any assistance appreciated and renumerated if we can meet a price.

I thought that 'thingamejiggies' was clear enough. ?
A 'guide post' for a mitre saw set up. Saw (tooth edge part of blade) is 29" length. In the photo the rear one is missing... should be two of the 'posts'.
Between purchase price, replacing missing part and time to clean up... a Makita would be cheaper!
