    Hi Aaron,

What it was used for? It has two little pieces of the old computor paper(you know the blue, white lined stuff) taped to it.

The rest? Pulling it apart over a couple of hours to free it up. The mic part moves over about 0.400"

Ah so it just happened to be Stuart's turn with the camera. How fortuitous.

    Ten years behind! If only.

Now there's a measuring job you would be pretty careful about.. you wouldn't want the spring to close too quick..

I've been through the ADI factory, they mostly make smaller caliber stuff 5.62? , but they do all sizes up to big naval shells.. 7.62 is AK47 isn't it?

7.62 is SLR. and AR and most probably a more modern rifle.

    Hi Ray,
    The AK-47 is 7.62 x 39mm
But the M14 was 7.62 x 51mm (I say was because if I have the measuring tool I guess we no longer make them, which is strange as armys tend to keep things a long time)

    Stuart

Edit SLR is more like it.

i don't think that has been as shiny in a long time.. That spring in the photo isn't the one i was thinking of. must of been
in another type of the strange measuring devises.

You boys noctural? I'm hitting the sack. Goodnight.

And Stu, before I go, I'll remember to make my smart #### comments in the morning so you can deal with the Cornflakes in the keyboard.

Wake up BT, gee they sleep late over that side, you'll have to be up earlier than this at scrapefest or you'll risk missing morning smokeo(something you dont want to do!)

    Hi Aaron,
I thought you were talking about these springs.
