From the pictures, it is a not so well made clone of the Taiwanese Vertex HV6. The brand name "Metex" could be the invention of the local seller, I can not find any reference to a "Metex" factory in China or India. $290 for the rotary table without the dividing plates and tailstock represents a great dealer margin, not a great bargain. Look elsewhere.

I've looked around and they all of the clones and the vertex too appear to be around that price whatever the brand . I noticed the Vertex has 3 T slots and the Metex has 4 T slots - for whatever reason . Mike
