    No worries Bob,
I do tend to just blend in with the background
I'm resizing my pics at the moment which have to be done one at a time (yeah I know, 'sucks to be me) but they are coming.

    Here are the pics.
My brain size is measured in nanometres and to say I got an information overload would be the understatement of the century.
If I have any info that is completely ridiculous, please jump in and correct me.

    No worries Bob,
I did have an info overload but I think they are pretty right.
We ran out of time to look at the time measurement area where they test all the speed cameras.
Good thing though as I would probably start smashing equipment lol.

    Thanks for the pics Phil.

It looks to me like the item on the tallyronds table is held there with red-tac (like blue-tac only red...) ??

Those quality V blocks, was that sarcasm or not?

    Cheers,

    Hi Ewan,
It certainly looked like Red-Tac. Could have been plasticine or anything like that. Bubblegum?? Lol.
Heaps of sarcasm involved in the 'V' blocks but as you can see, even I wouldn't use anything else but those for the length rods.

That cylinder on the Tallyrond is solid tungsten carbide. I suspect the plasticine is there to remind people not to move it. Its weight would be plenty to hold the cylinder in place....

I have found that cow s*#t reduces its ability to stick. If you then put your boots in the freezer next to the ice cream for a couple hours the bubblegum comes off quite easily. Doesn't taste the same tho.

A pressure washer can also get it off.

    Almost forgot.
A short clip of the Talyrond in action.
Andrew turned it on and I hit record on the camera
The stylus should be in contact with the cylinder and apologies for the sound.

Glad that I wasn't the only one ''nanoed'' out, especially when used to working thous and occasionally tenths. A once in a life time experience to tour this facility.Plus one too Phil would have beat you to the speed camera calibration equippe. John.
