Thanks for the pics Phil.
It looks to me like the item on the tallyronds table is held there with red-tac (like blue-tac only red...) ??
Those quality V blocks, was that sarcasm or not?

That cylinder on the Tallyrond is solid tungsten carbide. I suspect the plasticine is there to remind people not to move it. Its weight would be plenty to hold the cylinder in place....
