A garden variety hafco HM52, bought it 5 or 6 years ago, the only improvement I've made so far is to replace the crappy vice with a Trulock item.
I know there are a lot of good write ups on here by Dave J and others re improvements that can be made to these mills. One day...
Speaking of whom, I don't think I've seen Dave J post for a while, everything OK there?

I'm sorry to say Dave has left the forum
I chat with him from time to time, and I hope to eventually convince him to come back.
Maybe he will once he gets himself sorted out.

I miss Dave too!
COME BACK DAVE J!
Girl, I don't wanna know about your mild-mannered alter ego or anything like that." I mean, you tell me you're, uh, super-mega-ultra-lightning babe? That's all right with me. I'm good. I'm good.

This is my Biernatzki Vertical milling machine, purchased in the 1990's in pretty bad condition. The photo was taken after some repairs and a new coat of paint, it is still working perfectly to this day, I only wish that it still looked as good as it did then. (Note the date on the photo)
This is the only picture I could find of the "work in progress".
These days it has a 3 axis DRO, power drawbar, VFD and a nice machine light
Hi Lex,
Very nice, i know what you mean about them not staying clean for long! At least we can see that it is well loved. Whats the go with the head, there almost looks like a locking gib down the side?
I very nearly bought a H/V Biernatzki from the auction my shaper came from, it was a very nice looking machine, if a bit dirty. And sooooo cheap. Well i thought so till the Vernier came along....Milling machine, Biernatzki model U2, with 3 x T slot working bed approx 1, Auction (0102-5002979) | GraysOnline Australia
Not sure what happened to the pics either....copying and pasting them works though.
Cheers,
