Morse Taper 1-3?
Groovers, is it possible to get a MT sleeve to take a MT1 to a MT3 directly or do I have to step it up to MT2 then MT3? Regards Damien.

Certainly possible - refer to here as one example http://www.arceurotrade.co.uk/catalo...aptors-sleeves - search for part number 120-010-00200 and/or 120-010-00800

Hi Groover.
Plenty on ebay for less than $20 delivered from China.
Cheers

Thanks Ben, I was about to ask the same thing.
Thanks to the other Groovers who offered some advice. I have looked at Ebay, Hare and Forbes etc but I couldn't find one.

Well you guys sure do like long shots I'll say that much
Seemed like a reasonable question to me, but I guess I prefer to hang out in the workshop rather than Google.

ha ha, "Self help" is a misnomer.
If you can "help" yourself, that simply means you don't need any help, you just do it yourself.
Of course you can help yourself to a Morse taper adaptor, but that is usually not a good idea and for some reason frown upon by hardware stores ...
I think that the "do a search" police and the "keep on topic" police should take a step back. As the forums keep losing members and the post numbers keep on falling, a dosis of humor and largess will go a long way.“We often contradict an opinion for no other reason
than that we do not like the tone in which it is expressed.”

I gave generously by telling the person to search for themselves.

Next time keep your generosity to yourself, thanks. Damien.

Talking about taper, I have an old unmarked post drillpress that has a tapered shaft, but I don't know if it is 1,2 or 3. Is there a simple way to know?.
