Multiple Sheraton Lathes
I visited Hare and Forbes Melb this week to pick up a couple of items at their sale.
In the secondhand gear they had about 6 Sheraton lathes 9" (same as hercus) for sale. prices ranged from $350 with some parts missing to $600 for complete with taper turning. All were 3 phase (easily changed), on cabinets and with QC gearboxes. All a bit scrappy looking but no signs of excess wear. With some negotiation some good buys there I think.
They also had a much bigger Sheraton CUB with camlok spindle and taper turn which was a metric lathe. Don't know price, but if I didn't already have the Conquest i would have had a good look at it.
Cheers,
Steve
