Mystery radial drill
Gday, on the road yesterday after cutting some firewood locally i saw this ripper sitting just insides somebody's fence line...been there a while, went and saw the nearest neighbor, the drill belong to the bloke i was talking to & after some discussion told me he would not part with it..
gave me a surprise to see it..what a waste

Wont part with it but rather leave it in the paddock to rust away , no sense in that .
Looks like its past restoration anyway.

The table would make a great welding bench.

If the the T slotted box table is nice and square it would look nice once cleaned up on a radial arm drill or possibly even a large mill. Seen what a reasonable new one goes for !!!!

I will never be the person who has everything, not when someone keeps inventing so much cool new stuff to buy.
From an early age my father taught me to wear welding gloves . "Its not to protect your hands son, its to put out the fire when u set yourself alight".

Looking at the warning sign on it, I can't help thinking that the last guy who used it is now buried under it.
Reminds me of the time a former boss told me to wear gloves while working on a chain trencher, because of the risk of splinters from the hardwood. Politely explained to him that I would rather get a few splinters than have the machine grab the glove and remove my arm.

Big Drill
Stand in line boys,
I've been tracking that one for a while - same result though.
I also thought it past restoration - maybe- but had an eye on the table as a setup table.
Since got a magic layout slab of steel but this one still fascinated me.
U did well to spot it really. Depended which way you were going.
As you all have noted - what a waste.
Cheers
