I'm not sure where the OP came from or where he has gone so I am not likely to answer him.
I will give my thoughts on the woodwork forum.
With this forum and most others there is generally a core group of posters that generally remains in numbers only as members come and go, but the core is still there.
This can and has been perceived as a clique usually by members that lurk under the mistaken belief they have no solid input to give. Any input is input and is always going to be welcome by me and I am sure, many other members.
The woodwork forum is one of the few that has (in my opinion) the least amount of 'flaming' for what can be perceived as an inane comment or question.
Occasionally and I mean occasionally there is an unprovoked comment that is detrimental to the core values of this forum which is dealt with appropriately by the moderators and boy, aren't they getting a workout tonight
It is incredibly difficult to please everyone but the woodwork forum certainly gives it a shot.
I have made some great and no doubt enduring friends here that I never would have had I not joined.
I'm not just talking about the metalwork section but the whole forum.
I have offered grand tours for any forum members where I work and as I said in the past that offer stands for 'all' woodwork forum members, not just the metalwork section.
I'm done now, phew!

G'day, the other Phil.
I'd bet the house, the wife, and my first born, this might be the same guy.

The irony when he makes up a name like Bob Downs 100. I wonder if he knows, Bob Downe is a Gay icon. Dont make me explain Bob, as in dunking for apples, and down.

Me either, but to get so wound up -out of shape about the ability or not to be able to cut / not cut bright / black bar thats just crusty. (Crusty, little hot rolled joke, cold rolled in there).
There must be approaching 30 blokes, that have already taken you up on that offer. Your hospitality is beyond reproach.

I'd like to help the original poster out.
Which way did he come in?

I was wondering what the hell this was all about, then saw the steel thread which I had not read...
For a trolling attempt I would rate it close to 0 out of 10...... I won't give pointers on how to be a successful troll, but that was a god awful attempt...
Now onto Rollie's dad...Light red, the colour of choice for the discerning man.

Calling all lurkers
Sometimes, I do wonder about the number of lurkers we have.
It is unfortunate situation because if we had more participants blokes like me might see of more blokes like me in a face to face situation.
What I am getting at at, is that those of you in the population centers are somewhat fortunate in being able to travel and join in things like get to gethers and scraping classes, BBQs and the like. I live in north Queensland and have never personally met someone from the forum and I think thats a real shame.
Its a good case for you lurkers, especially in the less populated areas , to stick their heads up and say hi, this is where I am and this is what I like to do. More online and personal contacts could be made and with that chances to improve yours/ours personal skill sets and experiences from one another.
As per the activity referred to above its a fact that these guys come and ( even BETTER) go.They are but a ripple in the forum pond and soon gone. I guess I have been here nearly ten years and truly this in one of the best forums of its type on the web, dealing with with exceptional, not just good, people.
Everyone has something to give. Ask a question and the answer- like it or not will come back- but in all likelihood that answer will benefit not just one, but many, or spurn new questions.
So lurkers, register and hit those keyboards and participate in our forum.
Grahame
