Do you do much milling?
How close to the cutting edge have you got your bottom support, your clamps could be a lot closer also 4 clamps would give better support.
Maybe it didnt occur but the setup looks as if there could be a fair bit of vibration.

Nice Ben,
You will be amazed at what a coat of paint will cover up. Did you bolt it to the tray as well as the base?

PC,
There was heaps of vibration, but I didn't want to change the set up - again. I know it's not OHS correct but used my hand to dampen the vibration (I probably should of used a piece of wood). The plate was set up on parallels (I think about 16mm high), its a new machine and I didn't want to leave my mark on it.
I originally had a four clamp set up but its a strangely set up machine. The longitudinal feed lever is located smack underneath the vertical head, next to the work table and behind the safety cover. The speed controls are on a movable control panel. I'll touch a work piece but starting, stopping and changing directions on a real knotchy lever is pushing it.
Phil,
Paint is a poor welders best friend (after a angle grinder). I haven't bolted the middle support, but know that you mention it, I may.
Ben.
