Default Online and Downloadable Old Workshop Books

I thought I should share this source of old books available online and to download.http://archive.org/search.php?query=subject:"Machine-shop practice"&page=1
The second link here is an example of these old books and should open at a page which will then allow you to click to turn pages for a little light holiday reading.I have downloaded some to a Kindle as well for the ultimate use of holiday quiet time out of the Workshop. Methods of machine shop work : for apprentices and students in technical and trade schools
    Cheers from Micheal.

Amazing stuff, shows the true value of the Internet. I never knew such archives existed. Thanks for sharing!!

Some of the big machinery pics in the 2nd link remind me of the Railway Workshops in Ipswich, Qld

This site is very good Home

Scroll down and on the right hand side you will find members downloads, you don't need to be a member to download.

For those interested in the difference between the metric and imperial camps this book has a very good reference in the first chapter. It is just too big to be uploaded as a PDF to this page so here is a link to download it for yourself. Very simple description of making a master reference block to compare to the standard.
