    Hi Mike,
    I've got it.
It was first published in 1950 so some of the stuff is a little on the old side, not many of us have overhead drives these days(anyone?). Still most of it wont have changed much and I like reading this sort of thing.

If it makes you feel better I paid almost twice that price lol
It even has a section on toolmakers buttons, one of these days I'm going to have a reason to use the ones I have.

I'd just like to know what sopldering is....

I like old books like this, it is good to get lots of different views on how to do things and try them out. I think i might get a copy at that price.

That was one of the first books on machining I bought, I still pick it up from time to time, very useful to a "book machinist" like me.

I paid $25 for my copy, I think it was in Melbourne in a bookshop upstairs in a side lane somewhere, can't remember their name, had a lot of model engineering, car and war books.

    Edit:

    Cheaper here

    Ok

It seems to be a popular book . The download will be handy to have on the memory stick - but I feel that there are advantages to having the old fashioned hard copy to read , no batteries needed and the book will still be readable 50 years on. Mike
