Perforated miniorb.
Does anyone have a piece of perforated mini orb galv sheeting they could take a picture of and show me? This stuff is used as an internal wall cladding material and the perforations are suppose to give it an reduced acoustical reflection property. Nowhere that sells is has any sample or picture they can show me - I'm reluctant to order without seeing a sample. The pictures on the web are also pretty crummy.
Thanks

The local school has the standard size sheets with the holes in it but not the mini stuff, if that is any help?

Our Landcare group meets in the local school in one of those new demountable buildings. It has the interior lined with the perforated corrugated sheets, but like Dave said, they are the standard Custom Orb size.
Very good acoustic properties though.

the perforation (holes) is to allow sound to be absorbed by accoustic insulation behind it.
I didnt know yoo could get Mini Orb in a perforated state...plenty of perforated flat sheet stuff available tho

I take it you have seen this pic?
Perforated LYSAGHT MINI ORB® in the colour Surfmist® is used extensively for noise control at Dubbo Senior Campus, New South Wales.

Yep I read an article about it a few months back and it said the perforated miniorb was much better than perforated flat and worked surprisingly well even without any sound absorber behind it.
Yep - but I want to see a close up - ie how big are the perforations and how far apart are they?

From memory the holes in the Custom Orb that I have seen are nowhere near big enough to take standard pegboard hooks.
I guess a call to Lysaght would resolve that question

Hi BobL,
You could try 'Locker Group", I believe they can custom make aswell as stock sheets. The only thing I don't think they are corrugated.

I tried locally, but got some air head customer service agent who was as useless as [insert colourful comparator here] and couldn't be stuff calling the eastern states.
It has to be corrugated, this together with the holes contributes in a major way to the sound reflection properties.
Sure but it would also take the galv off.
