Big Planer (very sad sight)
I've not posted much lately. Lots of other things going on at the moment.
A couple of days ago I visited an old engineering business on the outskirts of Rockhampton. The owner has been deceased for some time and his brother has been tasked with settling the estate.
I think they have been selling gear for some time but there is some massive iron left, along with hundreds of assorted bits and pieces (most of the goodies gone)
This caught my eye.

Sorry for the poor photo. Access was quite restricted.
It's a large planer, at least 4 meter bed. Unfortunately I couldn't find any makers ID. It has had a large grinding head fitted. The whole machine was now basically a storage bench. Random items covering every square inch.
The bad news is that it has probably been under a couple of Fitzroy river floods. Talking to the old fella he sounded a bit overwhelmed by the whole process. Pretty sad situation really.
Sadly, it won't be long before most of it goes to scrap.
