I reckon they had the wrong price on it coz they had the same unit on there for about $560, their price's were all over the place.
When corresponding with them they did say that after I put my order in freight price's jumped, personally I think they stuffed the price up.

So use the drop down box and click the "highest to lowest" so you can wade through it, you may get lucky

ps. they are only cheeep crap, but mine does seem to work ok, so far I have only played with it, most of the cuts were ok 10mm 12 mm and 16mm,the thickest I cut is a 2 inch long cut off a 25mm bar, it looked bloody horrible so will have to make up something like a quicky and some guides, circle cutters ect.

I have bought a couple of machines from Magnum, And I am a fan
The plasma cutter is awsome, I love it. I see they have a 100amp one for sale now as well.
I also bought my 200amp tig from Magnum and it has never missed a beat.
They also have the best warranty offered on Ebay....

This one is interesting but is HF start

I have no need for a combined tig/mig/plasma as I have CIG 175 mig/tig/stick welder so would be duplicating functions. I would rather spend the money on a single purpose unit.
    Jex,

The other plus to pilot arc starting is the gun doesn't even need to be remotely close to the item you're cutting and it'll cut through painted surfaces - HF requires the work piece to have a spot of bare metal to start the arc.

These are nice cutters, worth every cent, up your budget and you're onto a winner > http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Thermaldy...item3cc695940b

Hi John, I started an online chat with Bob Wu, the guy from the chinese supplier below where you got yours. He was very chatty until I asked how they would handle warranty claims for units sent to Australia, the chat suddenly ended and I could not get him to continue. I don,t think they had an answer or wanted to answer that question.
Is yours the pilot arc model and is it single phase ?

I had a look at the specs of pretty much all the welders being advertised. A lot of the 250A MIG welders have a 10% duty cycle, 100% at 140A. That's useless. I bought the Magnum 250A unit, it's 60% duty cycle and capable of running 1.2mm wire. I've put a lot through it and am more than happy.

If they have a 100A plasma cutter for sale, my old 50A unit might come on the market...

Yes Jex the one I bought is 3 phase with pilot arc.

As for warranty, I took a gamble that the cutter would work ok, because it was so cheeep I took that risk, but if it goes bang I probably would replace it with a BOC plasma cutter because Bob Wu might all of a sudden no speaka da english.

It's a punt I took, so far so good
