Default Could somebody turn this down for me please?

The adjustable lever that locks the tailstock on my MC1100 died. Rather than try and source a similarly carp item from Carba-Tec, I bought a quality adjustable lever, but the end of the M10 stud within the lever needs to be modified to engage the slot in the tailstock spindle.

I've measured the original and have prepared a quick drawing of it. Would some kind soul be willing (for the right price) to turn the little spigot on the end of the stud for me please?

I could spin the stud in my lathe's chuck and try and file the spigot to shape, but even though it's only a MC1100 lathe, I think it deserves better precision than that.

Please PM me if you can help.

If you get no other offers post your drawing here or something. I'm in Brisbane so it'll involve postage but of course I'm happy to do a little turning job for you. I'd want to see a sketch first though to make sure I understand what it is you want.

I would think however there will be someone in melbourne that can help. That's a better solution because there is nothing like being on the spot to get it right.

Thanks Damian. Big Shed has offered to tackle it, so I'm posting it off to him.
