Back-plunger DTI
Watching YouTube videos, I see the occasional use of a DTI with the plunger at the back, coaxial with the pointer.
This arrangement would be very convenient in some situations, but rarely seen in Australia.
Not in any of the popular local catalogs.
Mick Moyle in Sydney has quite a collection of old instrumentation, but has not seen one for many years,
Anyone using them ?
Associated with this is the use of an attachment that clamps to a regular DTI stem to detect movement at right angles.
I could make one of these, but it would require some delicate machining.
Perhaps someone can give me a hint on where to get one locally.
Just curious,
Keep well,
John.
