Thread: postage time from US

Hope no one's order is on that container ship of the coast of New Zealand, may be waiting a while, if it arrives at all.

I just got a 12" x 6" compound sine table, 36kg (84 lb) sent via a mail forwarder USA Address & Mail Forwarding

The original quote for Fedex freight was $US700+, despite the seller having advertised it as shipping to Australia at $US175, after 4 weeks of to and fro with the seller,

I finally got then to send it to shipito, and it ended up costing me $US280 for Fedex Economy International, took just over a week to get here.

So thanks to GregQ for recommending shipito, I probably saved over $US400 in freight.

It's a good system, worth investigating if you are getting hit with ridiculous freight costs from the US.

Here's another vote for shipito, and DHL...

A 3 lb parcel Shipped via DHL express ($US42) from Shipito in Los Angeles on Monday 24th 5:22 PM, delivered here Friday 28th at 9:30 AM

I make that 3-4 days..
