    Hi Graziano,

No secret protocols.. the FM receiver module is going to be open source hardware and software, so can be adapted for other applications. The receiver gets RDS commands and decodes tones to provide control outputs, in this case led strips, but could be relays, solenoids etc...

Only problem with making it open source is that I need to clean up my act with the source code, the commenting is a bit sparse to say the least... and there is a fair amount of pic assembler mixed in with the C...

    Regards
    Ray

PS the project name is (will be) the "Linzer Schnitten" it's a sort of jam slice.. a kind of slant at the raspberry pi I guess...

    Programs are always self-documenting!

All I could come up with is ####-Control.
Omp, that was #'ed out. New try: Ars3-Control. Replace 3 with an capital "E".

Don't forget the old hacker adage Ray, if it's hard to write it should be hard to read. How else can people appreciate what you've written otherwise. Don't worry about the C code, you've got to give the plebs something to get excited about

Heh, a pretty good name for it, those Raspberry Pi seem a bit hard to get hold of these days, there's still a wait list for them I understand. I was half arsedly thinking about how to control a dot matrix RGB LED array strung across the front fence for Christmas lights, complete with animations but I could just make your system instead now .

There's got to be an events market for your product, now you have this home run up on the board.

Seriously outstanding stuff Ray. You and Josh continue to amaze me with your thoroughness and ability to stay grounded. The best part is I can stand back and say "I know the guys who did that".

    Hi Phil,

Funny you should say that, I was talking to some Austrians who had visited Sovereign Hill on a trip to Australia and were impressed by the whole experience and how well the old machinery was maintained....

I was able to say.... "I know the guy who does that".....

    Regards
