It comes and goes in phases but at the moment we have members posting links to equipment for sale on eBay, facebook, gumtree etc. In the past we have found that non-members can see these links, click on them and potentially take a good buy away from members. I've gone to a number of links to discover that the item has been sold a matter of hours after the initial post, so this may be occurring again.

If you want to advise members of equipment that is available, the solution we found was to take a screen shot of the link and put it in your post as a JPEG. Only logged in members can see the content, so effectively it is not being advertised globally, only to members. Yes, the URL has to be typed in but if you are in the market for a lathe and will be spending $2000, is that extra 30 seconds really a big issue?
