    Default Another project S & B model M

    I just bought this crusty little ripper a Smart and Brown model M lathe. You see.l NEEDED a lathe to go with the Atlas shaper and CVA mill more detail on Saturday

    G'day Andre,

    A nice project for you, perhaps even an opportunity to use your scraping skills.

    Should make a nice lathe with a bit of grunt for its size.

    Yeah I would like.to scrape the.whole.bed or.get it.ground but I doubt I will get that far, Will see how worn it really.is first.

    AH Bruce hows it going ?. No I didnt change the spindle but.did change the bearings and that has helped tremendously I can now part off and get.a half.decent finish.
