As the crow flies, I must be about 1Km from the sea. I reckon I get minor rust on the lathe/mill etc maybe 2 days a year, more if I accidentally leave the shed open over night and it's cold. It's not enough for it to concern me. A light wipe with a rag and it's clean again. I'm not sure why I am spared anything worse considering what others report. My shed has no insulation although one entire side has the walls lined with yellow tongue. I may get some of that lanotec anyway. Being in Bittern, I can't be that far away from some others here. My lathe and mill are both Chinese, I'm wondering if the cheaper grade CI is less susceptible to this than the good quality machine tools?

Girl, I don't wanna know about your mild-mannered alter ego or anything like that." I mean, you tell me you're, uh, super-mega-ultra-lightning babe? That's all right with me. I'm good. I'm good.

    Thanks V.

A couple of clamps, the large ones, had a light orange hue. I have an inkling it might have been flight rust, probably Qantas in origin. Steel wool and a wire brush cleaned them up and just to be on the safe side they now will reside in a Kiwi lunchbox. Looking at the clamps spurred me on to complete some replacement parts... Really.. I own Stahlwille, Hazet, Gedore, Sidchrome, Kincrome, KTC, Koken, Bahco, Facom, Beta, Snap On (Chi/Taiw) among others. Nepros are second to none. And you might be interested to know that there is no salesman for Nepros. You want them, you have to go direct. No English advertisements (that I know of), no infomercials, nothing. Additionally, no distribution outside of Japan far as I know. If your in the know, you know.
