Where to purchase a Ultrasonic Cleaner?
Hi,
I need some advice on ultrasonic cleaners.
Anyone know where to purchase a ultrasonic cleaner from?
Any particular type, I want to use it for my old lathe restoration (mainly for the smaller parts like handles, gears etc).
Cost will be a big factor.
Cheers Ben.

the benchtop models supplied by Soniclean look exactly the same as the one I got thru a supplier on AliExpress.
Been going great for the last 2 years..I clean my glasses, swmbo's jewelry and my empty brass....and that is every week.
Depending on how soiled the item is ie lathe parts it may be quicker to just use a solvent and elbow grease...ultrasonic cleaners are really best suited to lots of small items with very small dirt holding crevices or where the item is very delicate and the rigours of manhandling may cause damage

Thanks for the replies.
I think I'll stick with cleaner and elbow grease for the time being or maybe a cheapie of evilbay.
Cheers Ben.

I bought a mid sized Jeken off ebay and am very happy with it.
Heats, long run times (no need to cycle every 8 min) and works well.
Now wish I had bought a bigger one and will at some stage.
Even been know to use a Kero/ATF mix to clean certain items.
You just have to take good fire precautions....
