    Default Question regarding VSD/VFD

    Hi,

Just have a quick question. If a VSD/VFD has an output rating of 1HP does that mean I can use any motor up to 1HP or must it be 1HP?

    Thanks

    Hello Com_VC,
If the VFD is rated at one HP (0.75kw) then it is fine to use with any motor up to that rating. One of the parameters you will set when programming the drive is the rating of the motor it is running so just enter the specs of your motor and all should be fine.
    Cheers,
    Greg.
