More Recent Work
Hello again,, I have attached a few images of a very recent fireplace wood box which I was asked to make for a client,, who has kept me very busy with plantstands of late,, anyway I am fond of this item and was sorry to see it go , , I enjoyed making this one. I felt I should show it,,,,, Its made of 3mm mild sheet,, just about everyinch of its surface has been handbeaten with various hammers, and heated in different areas to give it that "rustic" look,,, handle was forged,,rivets hold the various hand made "bits" together and the whole lot was taken back to bare metal,, treated and sealed with a 2 pack clear sealer,,,I was very happy with the finish,, even though I have been thru a dozen different brands of sealers,, this one did it. youd never guess it was a wood sealer.

Bloody outstanding. Even with the small, cropped photos, the attention to detail is amazing. Damn shame you're up in QLD, mate. Wouldn't be able to resist pokin' me nose in the door and having a gander if you were local.

I've done some interesting things in the last 20 or so years with steel, but that is incredible. I would just love to see some more of your work
