The larger magnetic pump on my lathe has not clogged up in the last 12 months - it has 2 1" REE magnets in the filtering loop. The smaller magnetic pump on my small BS clogged after a few days without any magnets and now lasts about 6 months with 2 REE magnets before it clogs. It would probably go longer between clogs if I cleaned the swarf tray out a bit more regularly.

Hey guys
Whitelaw tooling supplies responded quickly to my email enquiry -I likes this
They offered three leg lengths ,130, 150 and 180mm legs all in 240v
They supplied the mounting and sizing specs and do have spare impellers but did not say the materials they are made from.
Probably plastic - Sighh!
I am going with the short leg one for $130+ GST and an impeller for $10,
Yes I can probably get one cheaper, but the sods who sell em won,t answer their emails.
An extra $20 for service is money well spent, I think.
I'll start my tank this week.
Grahame
