    Sorry boys i feel like a fool now thanks for the help and guidance.I just got the chuck on Friday and didn't have time to get a drawbar but i will get one tomorrow.

    Make sure you identify the correct drawbar thread before you buy the threaded rod for the drawbar - there does not seem to be any standard. I have 3MT tooling with 1/2x12 Whitworth, 12x1.75 metric, 10x1.5 metric and 3/8 Whitworth. If it came from the USA 1/2x13 TPI is a possibility too.

    well i got a drawbar and it seems to have fixed my problem there still is a bit of runout i have not measured it yet.
