Rod bender
Hi there,
I just knocked up a rough tool for bending 6mm reo bar, having about 80 bends to do for some footing lig's. Took about 3/4hr to do during lunch break, but I made a sketch the night before to make sure I was on the right track. With more time I'm sure it could be made to work better, like having an adjustable stop to fix the angle of bends, and even change the position of the pins.
The holes in the body were simply there in the scrap I used, was thinking more of moving the pins if it didn't work first time than varying the spacing.
The whole lot clamps in the vice, which allows the rod to be worked parallel with the front of the bench, and it worked a treat...and without coming loose. Did a test on 8mm mild steel, was good for that too.
Note the spacer which is welded between the handle and the moving jar, it is the same thickness as the body, so no clearance, gaps or wobble. The jaw is 10mm flat bar, quite a chunky item, bent with oxy.

Bender in use
This is what it was made for.
Result: the reo cages are now down the holes ready for concreting of footings, but that should be in the reno forum!

Nice setup, and results are probably OK for the specific application. But the bends look kinda sharp for reo. Next time, have a squint at concrete standards for minimum pin diameters for different size bars. Oz standards probably are close to, or derived from, American Concrete Institute. Sorry, I don't have a link, as I'm no longer a member there.
