    Default Rota Europa Toolbox

Hi all, I have a Rota Europa bearing slide mechanic's toolbox and need to remove a drawer.
I seem to remember that a piece of thin flat steel similar to binding strap had to be used and manipulated along the slide somehow but I dont seem to be able to get it right any suggestions please.

    Hi Arthur,
Just a tip, but I would take down your email address as it may open you up to a lot of spam etc.
It is best to pm your email address to keep it safe.

Sorry took so long Arthur been a great day for me tho.

Here a few photos might help my box is years old but I recently saw the newer style at Supercheap and thought it strange not much different to my slide.

I found the device after the hacksaw blade which works only if you remove the teeth as they grab. The draw must be extended the tool must be pushed down a fair way push the draw back in and tool further down ill you feel it tighten and then some. Then hold the tool in that position and pull the draw out and push the slide back till you see its past the little notch. I hope its still similar.

The 12 inch long length's of feeler strip will work in a pinch. It has to be 10 - 12 - 15 thou for strength.

You might try sliding them down the sides, until they hit those little tabs that lock the draw slide, then try pushing the draw and the two strip in together, using the weight / strength of the draw to open up those tabs, then slide the draw out while holding the strips in.
