Has anyone ever used Boeshield T-9?
Boeshield T-9® | Corrosion Protection and Waterproof Lubrication
Interesting quote from the Wood Magazine article on "Rust Busters".
Blu_Rock, at the risk of creating a monster, but in the interests of testing other methods used, this very recent thread had a bunch of different methods offered. Most of them cheap and cheerful. The one that I'd be most interested for inclusion is Camellia Oil, followed by Foodsafe + Oil of Clove.
i was thinking this was a diesel that was running a jabsco Pp for the salt water heat exchanger and more than likely salt cooling water would after
the heat exchanger been piped to the exhaust. the funny thing is i didn't understand the reference to sauces of pdw.
I thought it was a personal joke. funny

The following link provides some information on corrosion testing of various oils ,sprays etc

Grahame,
your link to a gun website reminded me of the method I use to control moisture in my gun safe. I use one of these to raise the temp inside slightly and therefore (hopefully) reduce the chance of condensation buildup. It seems to work, although I've never done any proper comparisons. These things are designed to reduce corrosion inside electrical equipment cabinets. They also come in low voltage versions and they are cheap!:

I screwed it to a small heatsink to help with conduction. You can also get fan-forced versions. This might be a good solution for those of you who have big problems with rust on expensive tools. Maybe one or more could be mounted inside a tool cupboard.
Chris
FenceFurniture, thanks for the link to that thread, an interesting inclusion for another test sometime.
jack620, Boeshield T-9 looks very promising, I will keep an eye out for it.
this test is a great idea.

Nothing to do with the test but... I have a constant battle with corrosion. I have taken to wiping bright surfaces with Timken wheel bearing grease because it provides better protection than the Vactra way oil and the DTE I use to lube the machines, it's visible because it's red and it's easy to clean off. It's also cheap as chips. And it also smells better than a sheep.
