Hi there, I have a question about the Sieg SC4 and variants. If this is in the wrong forum please have me severely flogged and point me in the right direction...

The tailstock is woeful, it seems accurate enough but unless you push the thing down heavily with every movement chips and muck get underneath. I've adjusted the slide and locking washers under the stock so I 'just have' slide when unlocked, but it makes little difference, any tighter and it grabs.

So, does anyone have this lathe and found a better solution, a tailstock from a different machine, a 3rd party option?

Over to you folks.

Many thanks.
