Scrap Steel/Copper prices
Hey guys,
First ever trip to the scrap yard today with the other tip-rats. Just thought I'd post some up to date prices for those interested. Hard to find recent scrap steel prices on the net.
Scrap Steel (corro mainly) 300kg - $24
Insulated copper wire 25kg - $18
Not great but the place is 200m from my house, much better than parting with $24 and driving 30 minutes to the tip.

Thats good $80/tonne I bought 500Kg of steel to Simms Metal 2 years ago when people were getting $200/tonne and they wouldn't give me anything as it was under a tonne.
It is good to recycle though better than going to land fill.
