    Default B-Section pulley needed

Getting closer to completing my vertical head adaptation for my Cash horizontal mill.
I've been looking for a 2-row B-section drive pulley for quite a while for it without success.
Prefer a cast iron or steel pulley somwhere between 4" and 5-1/2" outside diameter, with enough 'meat' in the centre to bore out to 1-3/8". Bigger hole is fine too, as I can sleeve it, of course.
Anyone got one lying about doing nothing and prepared to part with it?
    Cheers,
    Joe

Might have one - depends if you're in a hurry as it'll be on a pallet of similar items tucked under the pallet racking. I inherited a lot of them last year.

If I do it'll be a taperlock pulley. You'd be mad to bore it out when you can buy a bushing.

Hi Peter. No, I'm not in a hurry. And a taperlock would be even better!

Hi Mike. I could certainly pin or bolt one pulley to another if the both have one flat face, no problem. When I get a bit closer or finished, I'll post a thread with photos. I was given a vertical head of a French Huret mill and adapted it to mount on the front of a new overarm which has a drive spindle going through the centreline. It's hat spindle I want to drive with the pulley off the horizontal spindle drive end.
    Cheers,
    Joe

    G'day Joe,
If you feel like a drive it's worth a visit to Rich River Traders in Echuca, they have a big selection of nice cast pulleys in all sorts of sizes, belt counts and diameters and pricing is fairly reasonable. He also has a lot of tooling and I bet you can’t leave without buying at least one or two goodies.

I miss my Cash mill, she was a nice solid little machine and I wish I’d had enough room to keep her.
    Cheers,
    Greg.

I have a 2SPB cast iron pulley approx. 5 1/4 " OD with a 1 3/8" taperlock in Melbourne for the taking. Slight surface rust and minor groove wear, can be easily cleaned up, or used as is.

I have an alloy 2b x 4.5" pcd (close enough to 5" od) with 38 bore (came off a new unit which had to have a pulley upgrade to meet required airflows )

also have a 2b x 150mm pcd taperlock cast iron...probably have a bush somewhere but I bet it wont match what size you want

Thanks everyone for the hints and offers! I love this forum!
As it happens, I'm going to Echuca for their inaugural swap meet tomorrow and had intended to drop in at Rich River Traders. I've never left there without some goodies yet
However, I've PMed Andrew as I'm also going to Melbourne on Sunday to see a Hyro Blasting demonstration with our VJMC club (Vintage Japanes Motorcycle Club). And his offer sounds perfect with the right bore and all...
Many thanks again to everyone who looked at their stocks for me.
    Cheers,
    Joe

Rich River traders sounds like an interesting place to call in to next time I am down that way.
Hopefully I will be able to find the note I saved about this business when planning he next trip.
Thanks for the post, and I agree that the members of this forum are terrific in helping out a stranger.

I met Andrew today and picked up the taperlock 2B pulley he had offered.
Very nice fellow - like all the other forum members I have met so far.

Anyway, as soon as I got home, I had to see if it fitted - and it does perfectly! Very happy indeed!
Thank you very much again Andrew

Now I really have to get my finger out and get the rest of the mill presentable and the head sorted to be able to show some photos.
When the time comes I'll start a new thread.
BTW, I had a bit of correspondence with Stustoys and SimonL abouit my now completed remopte panel for the mill - it works like a charm and is nearly finished. I'll fit iti in the next few days and describe what I've done then.
    Cheers,
    Joe

...sorry about the spelling in the previous message. I just hate using the touch keys on my phone. One day they'll get voice regognition good enough to manage my accent so I don't have to double check every single character I type there.
Oh, this is typed on my laptop with a real keyboard....
