Seig U2 universal. any good?
Has anyone used one of these?
https://www.machineryhouse.com.au/Pr...ode=M156#specs
I'm looking to get a mill & was looking at the H&F RF31 or HM32 but stumbled across the U2.
Any comments or suggestions before I go fork over some hard earned?
Thanks.

Bit small, unless you only do models.

Hi Al,
The Seig will be fine if you only want to do small things and mostly aluminum.
These type of small all in one machines never do anyone particular good, their compromised because of the multi function and lack rigidness.
If you want to mill steel you would be better off with the RF31 or the HM32, an even better choice would be the HM 46 if you have the spare money for it.
There is ways of getting around it but the round column mill loose their position when raising or lowering the head, where as the dovetail column (or square column as it's sometimes referred to) will keep it's position.
Here is a thread from around a week ago on this topic
