Semi cheap DRO
For some reason I received an email from another forum, inviting me to have a look, so I did.
One post I thought you might find very interesting, is this one.
Semi-cheap DRO for my lathe
Basically a digital scale with a remote readout. No need to wreck a set of verniers at these prices.
Read down through the links for other good info.

reading between the lines do a "google search " on wixey dro should give you an idea or 2
