The Doug Lassie vice looks to be the original so was lucky to score that.
The feed handle is broken and I'll turn up a vertical bit and fit it up in the fullness of time. Would appreciate a photo of the handle so I can copy it. Thinking of brass as it would be easier to shape.
I was wrong about the year as it is a 76 - got excited and somwhow made it into a 77 between the machine and typing it on the computer. Paint is original and this was sold by Hugh Brown in Cannington, Perth. Failry sure it came out of a school as written in texta on the slide was "Finger Danger". Was wondering if there was a different colour for their agents as Hugh Brown were a large machinery dealer over here.
Was after parts manual and better if there is an exploded view so I don't have to rely on my memory to re-assemble.
I'll photo the fabricated handle tomorrow and post it - I have put the wee lassie to bed now.
I'll definately take up your offer Bob and visit your shed soon - will be in touch to organise a time.
Had visitors over for a BBQ but strange they didn't share my excitement in talking about the wee lassie. :(
I was very lucky the bloke I brought it off delivered it for a carton - can't complain about that.
