Shaper Heading my way!
Well it may be a little premature but what the hell! The shaper gods have shone down on me early in the new year. Next weekend I will be heading up to Horsham to relieve Harty of one of his Shapers, a Macson 18".
It will be a great opportunity to get a guided tour around Peters shed and all his "toys" while staying hydrated at the same time. Initially I thought it was just going to be me (and perhaps my son) going and I was planning on just camping out in a tent or swag but now the whole family are coming with me. Looks like a stay in a cabin at the Wimmera Lakes resort is on the cards!

Can't wait to get my hands on the beast. I have already made a home for it in the shed! Promised myself and the wife no tinkering until my sheet metal folder is finished……. She just noded her head "sure dear"
looking over youtube videos now learning "stuff"………

Hi!
No I have been taking lots of photos for a thread. It's just that because I'm so slow with this project, I wanted to wait until it's quite advanced before posting, otherwise the thread will be at a standstill for some time between updates.
OK, OK. I will start the thread once I have completely finished the hinges and the leaf…… I just don't want to bore people with periods of (seemingly) inactivity.
This year should be the start of some new found freedom since my youngest is now starting school. Both kids now at Primary School should give me a fair amount of time!

Thanks guys! It's quite funny. Couple of years ago I had never heard of a shaper, then I was educated about their existence and uses. At the time I thought that it's a bit of kit that I really would never need or have a use for……. but became intrigued and decided I should have one. Now I'm getting one and I can already see projects lining up be be done on it!
