    Default Single Phase Motor Question

Not sure if this is the place to post this, if not can you move please moderators.

I have a question on a 3/4 HP GMF Cadet motor that we have recently acquired as a box of bits. Just spent the day cleaning it up and reassembling it and now ready to reconnect the motor windings. It has me puzzled as to what type of motor it is. Definitely a Capacitor Start, but not sure if its an Induction or Capacitor Run type as there was no Cap with it.
There are 4 leads to the junction box, 2 black and a Yellow and an Orange. To the external Cap position there are a Yellow and an Orange from the top of the windings.
Black is Common (Neutral), and the Yellow appears to be Run and the Orange Start windings. But I'm not sure about the Cap connections.
If anyone has info on the correct configuration I would be grateful for a hint.
If we can get it running it would be perfect to replace the undersized motor on our shed compressor.

    Cheers
    Bill

Thanks guys. Yes, the rewinders were option 2 . Just found out they are along the street from the shed, will check them out today.
