Slitting saws quality .
Whats the go with HSS slitting saws ? I managed to destroy one , the teeth disintegrated cutting into mild steel , it was a no name asian made thing .
The older good quality brands seem to be thin on the ground . I need one around 4" diam and up to 1/16" thick for a job.
Any ideas where to find ? Mike

Hi Mike,
I have bought a few from C-tool on ebay (ducks for cover) Brands like osbourne and P&N, quality stuff. The problem with a lot of the asian saws i have seen (and have) is that they have fairly fine teeth. If your doing anything but the smallest of cuts the teeth seem to love to disappear.....
Ew

Mike,
There are reasonably priced good quality alternatives to blunt Australians and cheap Chinese.
