Each half of the deal would be a very reasonable buy I think.

I might be interested - just asked the seller some information about the backing plate (if fitted) to see if it can be adjusted for my purposes.
I just got a 4jaw with my "fixer upper lathe) and it turned out to be a 4 jaw self cetering - not an independent.
