Thanks Grahame
The Reilang I the one I was after. Doesnt seem to be many people selling them and I cant find one with the plastic container(which I preffer). The place in the UK with a price is about $50. When I saw the pressol ones at blackwoods I thought they must be the one with a "modern" shaped container.

OK well now you have confused me Grahame. You added that last picture of the pressol can while I was typing my last. Are they the same thing just made in different years? If not, what do you think of the pressol as they are about half the price.
Thanks

Sorry about that Stu,
I walked outside in the shed to feed the dogs and there it was , the bloody Pressol oiler ,so I went back inside and came out with the camera before it walked again.
I still can't find the other one the Reilag.I am sure its a Reilag, but it's an all alloy jobbie.
The Pressor oiler is still for sale locally at McGinns, part of ISG Industrial supply group,I am sure it was in a flyer a while ago. They are definately different companies reilag and Pressor ..I can't remember where the Reliag came from.
Definately a clean up coming ,there's not enough room to build another bench,
Ahh! Maybe some shelves!

Pom Pom Oilers
These are Alemite's offering. They work well, but like every oiler I've owned, they leak.
Pressols used to be sold by Bunnings. They were the red metal cans and were cheap.
Less than 20 bucks for a 300 ml can. But as is the way with Bunnies, they stopped selling them and provided a nice sub continental version for the same price.

Grahame, sounds like you have the same space problem as I do, you need a mezzanine floor.(that used to be a lot funnier around here until a mate bought a house with a garage bigger than mine that has a mezzanine floor.....)
Back to oil cans. Is there anything between the Reliag and the Pressol to make you choose one over the other? I can't remember what size the one I used to use was, maybe 300ml. The Reliag looks like its about $50 in the uk, the Pressol is about $25

I've got to call into bunnings sometime in the next week, I'll have a look around at what they have. Maybe they changed back

Stu,
I just got off the phone to the tool bloke at McGinns who said the one in his hand was a Pressol 750 mm all alloy that ran out out $33.66 inc GST.It comes with a flexible nozzle as well.I'll be in there again tomorrow and will check it out.
EDIT Their tool guy was way out, forget that! The OILER quoted was a painted steel jobbie with a Pressor brand that looked too much like the chinese jam tin models.
There was a model like mine there however ,ie same shape, same 500ml capacity and made of alloy that was $49.15 inc GST-not on special-ordinary price. Note! that I was looking at a Pressor -cheap MAYBE chinese and crap and a Pressol ALLOY PUMP OILER-ie goodstuff.
You asked what I found good about the that oiler. The heft of it said a lot to me and and that it has not leaked and just powers the oils into the oiler button.
You have to have the nozzle square on,or else it leaks ,but thats me not the oilcan .
I grabbed my oilcan again wiped that dust and dog fur off it and took it apart for piccies see below. The photos show is why I will pay that sort of doLlars for it.
If I can help in any way give me an email

Does you pressol work upside down?
Think I might try emailing some UK sites about postage of the reilang
This pdf has a picture of the insides of the reilang

Stu
I had not taken the opportunity to compare one with the other.
I remember filling one with oil and because I had two oilers, I put one away and used the other. The Pressol was loaded up with chain bar oil and used and the other put aside.
The trouble is I have no idea for the moment where the hell the other one is.It will bob up when I am looking for something else.
There a big electrical storm on the way so I am closing down and pulling the plugs for now .
Cheers
Grahame

Grahame
I've emailed a couple of places. If the postage isn't to much I'll stay with what I know and get one. They are damn good.
Try and stay dry.
Thanks

Well I got my oil cans today.
They have changed them a little since the one I used. The "can" is pressed and spun alum, they used to be cast alum(or plastic, they still make the plastic ones but I couldnt find anyone selling them). I like the spun one better, I was always worried the cast one would crack if dropped(although I'd never seen this happen).
I believe the spout is now Alum(brass plated) with a brass nozzle. It used to be solid brass.
The upside down pump looks different as well. I assume it works it will have to wait until tomorrow.
Better work with those oilers lol

These are the cheapest guys I could find.
*see my next post for link*
A little under $100 for two delivered.
Grahame found an AU site selling them, I emailed for a price and if they had cash sales but had no response.
They also make a great spray bottle(really its the same thing with a misting head on it). They work great as well with things like evaporative oil
Used it on my spring loaded oils today and it works great. Although I guess technically they shouldnt all have way oil in them, to bad.
