SAM_0653.jpgSAM_0652.jpgSAM_0651.jpgHello from BC
I need to do some work on the backhead of my boiler and with my horizontal borer still US it's up to the mill. Without a riser under the ram I'm limited to tools about 75 long. Surprisingly the boring head is the same OAL as the collet chuck so I'll use it on the steam passages. The material for a blanking plate is shown and I'll use the same method for the regulator body. After the plate is cut to size two tool makers buttons the size of the steam passages will be lightly screwed to the plate and inserted in the steam passages. Next the screws tightened, remove the plate, line up a mount hole, replace plate and drill mounting hole. Not my idea I just saw it demo'd last week.
The regulator will cause some head scratching I'm sure.
Regards
Old Goat.
