    Don't know about the strap clamps, but SHCS is normally socket head cap screw I think...

    Strap Clamps sounds like something that would be used at Mistress Holly's House of Pain....

    In woodworking they are just like a tie down ratchet (actually you can use these too) for strapping around something to clamp it together. I'm guessing the same sort of thing only small and maybe made from spring steel that can attach to the crutches (oh Holly....) and hold the work down at the ends?

    Edit, thanks Bob, something learnt, day not wasted! Holly will be disappointed.

    Ok thanks ..got it Basically, its just a flat hold down bar , as used on milling tables . Must be an American thing to call them strap clamps !
