It may pay to be very careful with Spiderman suits. One of the more amusing events of my time in the mines, concerned a couple in a nearby mining town who were playing a game which involved her being tied securely to the matrimonial couch wearing the minimum of attire, while he, dressed in this case in a Batman suit climbed on top of their wardrobe. Don't ask me why, I can only imagine that he thought it a good launching place or something, but in any case he was out of luck. The top of the wardrobe was only thin three ply, and it partially collapsed, and he fell into the interior. Unfortunately for our intrepid couple the door was locked, with the key in the lock on the outside.
While the top had partially collapsed, once he had fallen through, it sprang back to close to its normal position, and try as he might, he could not pull it open far enough to climb back out. His wife could not come to the rescue because she was tied up somewhere else. She was able to roar and yell out for the neighbour to come to their assistance though, and that is how the rest of the West Coast found out about it. It sure put a lot of smiles on faces, probably not on their faces though, not at the time anyway.
You have been warned,
Rob

He would've been fine if his utility belt was a real one..........
Swarf? I use a clean (ish) brush. Same for sawdust and grass clippings. Brush down and take off boots before entering house. We don't know how lucky we are......

Thanks DD, looks like the dust coats are popular. Worth a try.

While I haven't found the magic cure for the Houdini like capabilities of swarf, I have noticed that it seems to make its way into the house in at least 3 ways for me... Firstly, it leaps inside my boots, and attaches to my socks, then abandons ship sometime after the removal of my boots at the door. Not too much seems to take this path though, the rest prefer to either jump into the pocket of my pants (How the hell does that even happen!!!), or take the scenic route and lodge themselves in my hair.
As for solutions, stuffed if I know... I still haven't worked out how it manages to get into my pockets! Seems to resist being brushed out of my hair by hiding somehow, only to reappear once indoors, it's nearly impossible to empty out of pockets, and seems to camouflage itself in the socks....
