Default More from Switzerland - A Reglus Clinometer

Back in the olden days, before cheap digital angle indicators , you might have used something like this to set up work at various angles. Should prove handy on both the drill press and mill.

Nice bit of kit, was it an Ebay find?

I have a British WW1 clinometer, lovely bit of analog gear used to set field gun angles etc. I use it for setting/getting prop shaft angles amongst other things.

They are very useful items and somewhat of a rarity compared with precision levels etc.

If that is yours, you didn't buy it, you stole it, at that price. Good luck to you. Now I need to find one, looks very handy.

Yes Kryn, that's the one I won.

Michael G suggested a magnetic base would add a degree of usefulness. Fortuitously Reglus share the same rod diameter as Compac do for their little mag base and I just happen to have one.

You were lucky to find that one, I've looked to no avail, only digital stuff. Hard to tell, price wise, what is good and what's not regarding digital.
