Metal Lathe Manufacturers
Anyone on the forum have a metal lathe made by yangzhou super machine company. YANGZHOU SUPER MACHINE TOOL CO., LTD.
A mate of mine who imports lots of stuff from Shanghai area in China said they are a very good machine and most dealers in Australia do not buy from them as they are more expensive.

They look exactly like the lathes that Standaco imports (or imported...methinks that they are getting out of the hobby* business)
* some of the lathes linked are decidedly not hobby sized machines.
I'll be in Shanghai in a month or so and will be happy to investigate further should anyone be sorely tempted by their product line.

Hi Rod,
Just the fact that most of the lathes they make can cut module and diametric pitches says to me they are a step above what is available here. You have to go pretty big from H&F to get gear pitches standard.1915 17"x50" LeBlond heavy duty Lathe, 24" Queen city shaper, 1970's G Vernier FV.3.TO Universal Mill, 1958 Blohm HFS 6 surface grinder, 1942 Rivett 715 Lathe, 14"x40" Antrac Lathe, Startrite H225 Bandsaw, 1949 Hercus Camelback Drill press, 1947 Holbrook C10 Lathe.
